Happy Hands Nail Polish- Afternoon Thunderstorms

Hey Everyone!

I hope you all are doing well! This is my first of the scheduled posts that will go up within the next two weeks! Today I have my first Happy Hands Nail Polish to show you all. I've been eyeing Afternoon Thunderstorms for quite awhile, and I was so excited when I received it in a swap! You can find Happy Hands on Etsy. Right now, there's a few polishes on sale so check them out!

Afternoon Thunderstorms is a medium gray polish with an intense gold shimmer, and multi sized black glitter. It's simple in concept, but is so pretty on the nails. The gold shimmer really stands out, and adds so much to the polish. Application was OK. I used three coats, and I did have to place the glitter every once in awhile. Overall I really love it! Gray is one of my favorite colors, so this polish is a given.

Amy's Nail Boutique- Ecopolo

Hello, Hello!

So before I even get into the hell of a gorgeous polish I have to show you today, I need to let you know that it was a special polish created by Amy's Nail Boutique for the ladies of a Facebook group I'm in. As far as I know, it won't be available to purchase from Amy. Who doesn't like to see some gorgeous polish anyways?! Do check out Amy's Etsy! She recently added a bunch of new colors!

I'm going to be showing you Amy's Nail Boutique- Ecopolo! Now half the reason this polish is so rocking, is because it has circular glitter in it! I don't think I have any other polishes that do as of yet. Ecopolo is a mix of magenta, blue and purple glitter in a micro shimmer base. There's circles, squares and shreds. I think there are some smaller holographic hexes to. It just has so much going on, but in a good way! I used OPI- No Room For The Blues as a base, and then did two coats of Ecopolo. It's so stunning on, and I've been getting compliments left and right. Application was great, and the glitter applied evenly without any coaxing.

So pretty right?!

Ok, so I have a few other tidbits to mention! From now until the 26th, all my posts I put up will be scheduled. I'm leaving for vacation on the 14th, but I didn't want to leave you all hanging for that long! I will try to respond to any comments on those posts as frequently as I can. I'll be cruising to the Caribbean, so I'm hoping to pick up some neat polish for my One Year Blogoversary Giveaway which will be in April!

Now for my second tidbit. I have been LOVING Orly Bonder! Definitely my new favorite base coat. I've said in previous posts how hard it is to keep nail polish on while I'm at work, but it's been doing the trick. I do really want to try OPI Nail Envy in the feature though.

That is all!

DandyNails- Chilled Down

Hello Everyone!

I have a pretty awesome polish to share with you all! I actually think it's my first DandyNails polish I've tried, and I love it! Today I have Chilled Down from the Winter Collection. You can find DandyNails on Etsy, as well as Ninja Polish.

Chilled Down is supposed to have an off white base, but to me it's more of a skin toned color. It has the most gorgeous gold and blue flecks. I don't really love the color with my skin tone, but I think the polish is stunning. I wish the base was either slightly more gray or white. I've been seeing a bunch of flecked polish lately, and I'm totally loving them! I think it's a good medium for those who aren't into glitter. I'm totally a glitter girl, but who doesn't like to mix it up every once in a while?! Application was  decent. I had to do three coats, but probably could have gotten away with two if I applied them a bit thicker.

Have you tried any flecked polishes that I should try?

GlitterDaze- My White Lighter

Hi Everyone!

Today, I have one of my polishes I got for Christmas to show you! Would you all like to see a mini haul of the polishes I got for Christmas? Any who, the polish I have to show you is GlitterDaze- My White Lighter! My White Lighter is part of the GlitterDaze "A Charmed Halloween" collection, and I've wanted it since I laid eyed on it. Wanna know the best part? IT GLOWS IN THE DARK! I had absolutely no idea until I went into my closet and my nails were glowing! Even though it's part of a Halloween collection, I think it's a perfect Winter polish. You can find GlitterDaze on Etsy.

My White Lighter is so simple and stunning. It's a slightly baby blue tinted base with different sizes of blue glitters and shimmer. I did two coats of My White Lighter over two coats of OPI- My Boyfriend Scales Walls. The polish is slightly thick, and application was a bit tricky. Polish troubles aside, I totally love it.

Isn't it just a perfect Winter polish?!

Christmas Party Nails!

Hi Everyone!

I have some super fun Christmas nails to show you today! These are actually the first Christmas nails I've done all season. I work in retail and holiday hours are consuming my life at the moment. I haven't had much time to do anything to my nails but slap some polish on! I'm showing you the first of three JessiGeeWhiz glitters that I purchased a little while ago. The one I have for you today is called Christmas PJ's!

All of the JessiGeeWhiz glitters come in a little jar that contains 3.5g of glitter for $2.95. They are all solvent resistent, and are so absolutely gorgeous! There are a few different ways you can apply the loose glitter. I prefer to take a cheap, clear polish, I used Color Club, and just dap the brush into the glitter. Then apply it to the nail adding more clear polish as you go along to smooth it out. For me, it's the easiest, and least messy way to apply it. When I'm all done, I just wipe the brush off. Any glitter that got into the bottle just sinks, so it's easy to use the same clear polish over and over again! It also makes clean up WAY easier because you don't have glitter all over the place.

Christmas PJ's is made up of just red and green glitter. For such a simple combo, it sure it gorgeous! I used Zoya- Shawn as a base, and did two coats of Christmas PJ's. It seriously has amazing coverage for a loose glitter, and I think that also has to do with how I apply it. I don't find it to be any thicker then a regular glitter polish. On my ring finger I taped off a little tree and added a silver star. I'm excited to have such festive nails!

Two coats of Zoya- Shawn
Two coats of JessiGeeWhiz- Christmas PJ's
Two coats of Poshe

I'm hoping to have a few more Holiday manicures up soon!

Naild'it- Candy Wrapper

Hi Everyone!

I have my first polish from the brand Naild'it to show you all today! I've been eyeing this brand for months, literally months. I never got around to purchasing any. While browsing on Llarowe one day, I saw Candy Wrapper on sale for $9. You best bet I snatched it up! I'm so glad I did because it's gorgeous!

Candy Wrapper, I believe, was from the Naild'it Halloween Collection. To me this polish reminds me of Christmas lights in the snow. Like when a house is covered in snow, but you can still see the lights twinkling. I just love it! Candy Wrapper has a milky white base with all matte glitter. There's small hexes and shards in pretty much every color of the rainbow. I've come to realize that I really love shard glitter. Application was great! I never really needed to dab any glitter around. I need more polishes like this one!

Two coats of Naild'it Candy Wrapper
Two coats of Poshe

If you know of any other polishes like Candy wrapper, let me know! I need them all!

Different Dimension- Hanna

Hi everyone! I hope your weekend has be well! Today I have a Different Dimensions polish to show you. This one is part of her Pretty Little Liars collection! I have a bit of an obsession with PLL so I had to pick it up! The one I picked is Hanna! I actually snatched it up in a $5 sale she was having and I'm so glad I did. It's just my kind of polish. You can find Different Dimensions over on Etsy. Her polishes are regularly $8.50 but watch out for another $5 sale!

Hanna was really the only one that stood out to me from the PLL collection. Although, I might pick up Emily next time she has a sale. Hanna is a sheer purple base with magenta, white and light blue mircoglitters. I find that is gives a simular finish to the Nails Inc Sprinkles Collection polishes. The glitters aren't as big, but you get the idea. The base was sheer enough to not make the polish super thick even after three coats. It does have great coverage and is just packed with glitter! It looked so feminine and sweet on. I'm really excited to try some more Different Dimension polishes! I actually wanted to put Hanna right back on when I took it off! The polish looks a bit patchy in the pictures but you couldn't tell in real life.

Do you have any recommendations for any Different Dimension polishes I should pick up? Who's excited for the Halloween episode, OMG!

Two Birds, One Store- Pocket Full of Posies

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a great weekend! I have an indie brand to show you today that might be new to you, Two Birds, One Store! I found these wonderful ladies through a group I'm in on Facebook. As you can probably tell, I'm a huge supporter of indie brands. These ladies have a TON of potential! They stole my heart at the sight of matte glitter. You know I can't resist it!

The polish I have to show you today is called Pocket Full of Posies. How cute is the name!? Every time I say/type the name I think of the Ring Around the Rosie song. Just my opinion, but I think they should totally make a Ring Around the Rosie and Ashes, Ashes polish as well! PFoP is a clear based polish made up of teeny tiny pink and blue matte glitter as well as two sizes of purple hexes. I chose to layer it over OPI- Pedal Faster Suzi. I did try to wear PFoP on it's own but it wasn't quite opaque enough. The polish applied evenly but the purple hexes did need some maneuvering. Especially the largest ones. You know I love pretty much any matter glitter I put on my fingers! I have a few other polishes by Two Birds, One Store that I will show you soon. If you like Pocket Full of Posies, you will love them!

What do you guys think? I personally love it! Don't forget to put your vote in for Reader's Choice Wednesday!

Nail-Venturous- Orange You Unique

I hope everyone had an awesome weekend! I have something to pass buy you guys before I get on to the post. I've been going back and forth with the idea of doing like a "Readers Choice" day where I will have a poll going for a week with multiple polishes listed. Then on said day, whatever polish wins will be what I do my post on. What do you guys think? I would like to be a bit more involved with everyone and that's what I came up with! Yay or Nay, let me know! Now on to the regulary scheduled programing...

I have another Nail-Venturous polish for you today! Besides the well know Floam, Amy from Nail-Venturous does some other pretty unique polishes. I couldn't stray away from my matte glitters for to long! So I have for you Nail-Venturous- Orange You Unique! I wasn't quite sure if I would like Orange You Unique, but I do! As weird as this sounds, it's almost a subtle polish?! Close up, you can see all the orange, blue and white glitters. From far away it's not so bright and just has a speckled effect, weird huh? It has a slightly orange tinted base and had pretty great coverage in just two coats. If I remember correctly, Floam took three and there was still a bit of nail showing through. I'm pretty sure you can only get Nail-Venturous polishes from Ninja Polish at the moment. I don't think Amy's Etsy is open or will be any time soon. Picture Time!

One coat of Gelous

In my world, matte glitter will never get old LOL

Oh Nerd Lacquer, can you please come back? I know there is a bit of controversy surrounding Nerd Lacquer but I must say, it is probably my favorite Indie brand. At the moment there is no where to buy Nerd Lacquer's from except Ebay or swaps. I really hope Nerd Lacquer returns in the near future because I have a serious hankering for some more Nerds. I'm very sorry if anyone is having problems with Nerd Lacquer. I hope everything get's sorted out! Today I'm showing you one of my newest Nerd Lacquers, Event Horizon. I received Event Horizon from Alyson over at Beads Nails Food in a swap we did within a group on Facebook. I can't tell you how damn excited I was when I opened my package and saw this! Alyson, I <3 you!
Event Horizon is a dark greenish blue jelly jammed packed with tiny glitter. I did two coats, one thin and one thick. It applied pretty evenly and the glitter dispersed nicely. It has tiny silver holographic glitters that catch the light nicely. In the pictures, it seems slightly sheer at the tips but I find that to be fairly common with jelly polishes. I am so happy I have this polish! Picture time!

Gorgeous, no? Did you have a chance to snag any Nerd Lacquer's before they disappeared?
Don't forget to enter both of my giveaways! I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Amy's Nail Boutique- Cotton Candy

Today I have another matte glitter to fuel your obsession! It's a layering combo with Cotton Candy from Amy's Nail Boutique. That gal Amy sure makes some pretty polishes! I'm not sure if both glitters in this polish are matte or if the blue is regular and the pink is matte. I can't quite tell, but it's a simple yet pretty polish. I'm sure I've said it before, I'm not to keen on glitters I have to layer. I generally like glitters that will eventually become opaque. For matte glitter, I can make an exception! I was originally going to layer Cotton Candy over Zoya- Dove but went with Zoya- Kristen instead. I'm saving Dove for another matte glitter combo. Zoya- Kristen is a pale grayish-blue, and as with most cremes from Zoya, was opaque and smooth in two coats. Kristen went more blue on me which is what I had hoped for. I also did two coats of Cotton Candy and ended with a nice amount of glitter on the nail. I feel like this is a really girly mani without being pink, flashy and in your face. Picture time!

Super pretty, no? I'm really excited because my next post is going to be my 21st birthday mani!! I was going to do that mani tonight but we have a little girls birthday party tomorrow at work, and like I've said, my job is a mani killer! For those of you wondering, I work at Lush Cosmetics. I figured I should mention that sense I mention my job in posts all the time :) I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend so far! Has any one tried any of Amy's polishes yet?

I died when I saw this so I though I would share. It's necessary to sing it like the song :D

Lush Lacquer- Spring Fling

How's everyones weekend going so far? I of course have another indie to show you today! It's Spring Fling from Lush Lacquer on Etsy. Now I'm not sure how I feel about this polish. I mean it's pretty, but it isn't what I expected. On me it turns into this peachy-pink but in their swatches it shows up as a true pink and it states that it is a "mauve-pink". I'm sure the peachiness comes from it's golden shimmer, which like I said is very pretty, but on my skin tone it's...blah. I'm also sad that the a majority of the hex glitter is stuck to the side of the bottle. Spring Fling is opaque at two coats but I did three because I wasn't happy with the amount of hex glitters on my nails. I'm super excited for some of their new polishes they released earlier this week! I'm on a June no buy though so maybe if I'm lucky i'll receive some from the wonderful ladies in my birthday group ;) Or maybe i'll buy some as a birthday present to myself seeing as how I turn 21 on the 11th, woohoo party time!!! Anywho, on to the pictures!

Three coats of Lush Lacquer- Spring Fling
One coat of Gelous
One coat of Poshe

Have you guys tired any Lush Lacquer polishes yet? I have about 14 followers to go till I can do my 100 follower giveaway! It would be so awesome if I can hit 100 by my birthday! I'm almost to excited for the giveaway to wait, it's gonna be awesome!!!

Indie Polish Insanity

Holy crap, I'm obsessed with Indie polish. Seriously, you have no idea how many times a day I'm on Etsy looking at polish. Well today I have for you the rewards of my spending, a huge Indie haul! I know Indie's have sparked a bit of controversy lately but honestly I have yet to buy an Indie I didn't love! Besides a few Lynnderella's that is, but I will save that story for another day my friends. I confessed about my new found matte glitter obsession and there's a ton in this haul. I also just got my light box I ordered. I used it for these, so let me know how these pictures look compared to my others! Here's a sneak peek of all the amazing polishes I have to show you today!

I know, I know, you can't stand the anticipation any longer! What are these beauties you may ask? Well why don't I show you! WARNING: THERE ARE AN INSANE AMOUNT OF PICTURES AHEAD!

First up is F4 Polish. This is actually two separate orders. I loved my first order so I placed a second as soon as I got it in the mail! Here we have Pink Penquin, Pink Salmon, Strawberry Shortcake, Snow Capped Moutain and Mint Chocolate Chip! I've already posted about Pink Penquin-->here<-- and I'm sure you will see some more F4 posts soon!

Now we have my two Pahlish polishes that I was just dying to get my hands on! Toxic and Timeless & Train Underwater (I almost wrote Train UnderWARE). Aren't they just gorgeous!

Next up is Lush Lacquer! LOOK AT ALL THAT GLITTER, I died. Slime Time and Spring Fling.

Last but certainly not least, are my Amy's Nail Boutique and Lac Attack orders. Mmmmm, I love me some matte glitters! Amy's Nail Boutique- Preppy and Cotton Candy. Lac Attack- Jewel of the Nile.

Are you guys as obsessed with Indie's as I am? What was your first Indie polish you bought? Let me know below!

F4 Polish- Pink Penquin

Yay! I have another Indie polish for you today from another Etsy seller, F4 Polish! After stalking their Etsy for a bit, I decided to place an order and have sense placed a second! In my first order I picked up Pink Penquin, which I'm going to show you today, as well as Snow Capped Mountain which you will see soon! I got mini's of both and their shipping was SUPER fast. Now I know your going to think I keep meaning to put "Pink Penguin"instead of "Pink Penquin" but that's what it's called and I suppose there's a reason for it.

Pink Penquin is a black and white glitter with larger pink hexes all in a clear base. I was hesitant to buy it at first because I'm not in love with black and white glitter like most seem to be. I just don't really like the look of it and I'm sure that has to do with me not really liking clear based glitters. I made an exception for Pink Penquin because I could tell it was going to build up to almost full coverage and it does. The picture below is three coat and as you can see there isn't much nail showing through. It applied very smooth and had a good amount of glitter in one coat. One coat would be the perfect amount if this was over another polish. I did add a coat of Gelous just to smooth things out. I really do love it on, and I can't wait till my second order gets here! I am seriously loving the matte glitter trend, and I have purchased an ungodly amount of matte glitter polish in the past few weeks. Aka, there will be another haul post soon! The foil method will definitely be needed to remove this baby!

Excuse any pesky glitters you may see, they refused to come off!

Are you into black and white glitters? How about the matte glitter trend?

Nail-Venturous- Floam

GAHHHHH, I finally got my hands on Floam! As soon as I got my package I knew I had to put it on! Believe me, it lives up to the hype. I'm sure most of you have seen pictures of, or at least heard of Floam, which is from the mastermind Amy from I'm Feeling Nail-Venturous. Her polishes can be found on her Etsy (which from what I can tell will be closed for awhile) as well as on Ninja Polish. Restocks of Floam have officially become a site crashing event for Ninja Polish, which is what happened last time they stocked. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open if you plan on snatching this polish.

Floam amazingly withstood three days on my nails. Which is a lot to say because my job is a mani killer. Close up, you can see the gorgeous matte, neon blue, yellow and green glitter. Yet from far away they almost fade into a super pretty, bright turquoise. I did three coats of Floam, but if you used a base color you could probably do one. I really just wanted to wear it all but it's self and really let it shine. I am seriously IN LOVE with this polish and I'm sure you guys will be seeing it again soon.

I also want to add a thanks to all of you who liked Jessica's Nail Tales Facebook Page! Only 32 more likes to go!

KBShimmer- Berry Patch

Oh lawdy, I have another glitter to show you today! It also happens to be another KBShimmer. This polish is just so girly and fun! It was amazingly opaque for a baby pink. I only needed two coats, and the glitter applied very evenly. Well all of the glitter except for the blue hexes. Those needed a little work and I still didn't manage to get that many on my nails. Of course my non photo hand ended up with more. My bottle doesn't appear to have that many blue hexes, but I think that was intended. Regardless, I think this polish is amazing! I need to get my hands on some more KBShimmer polishes because the four that I ordered are blowing me away! Oh, how I love Indie polish <3

I also made a Jessica's Nail Tales Facebook if anyone is interested! I think I'm going to a giveaway when I hit 50 likes :D

KBShimmer- Proud Peacock

Wow everyone! I can't even explain how excited I was to see that you liked my blog! I can't believe I almost have 50 followers already! I guess I'll be doing my 100 follower giveaway sooner then I expected ;) Thank you all so much, your amazing <3

Today I have a gorgeous mani to share with you. It's a KBShimmer polish, which can be found on Etsy. I ordered four of them, which I'm sure I will share soon, and this is one of my favorites! It's called Proud Peacock and it's full of glitter goodness all wrapped up in a bright turquoise base. Seriously, this polish is FULL of glitter! According to her Etsy, Proud Peacock contains large blue and black hex, micro purple and white diamond glitter, small fuschia, teal, and navy glitter, and a a few holographic glitters including bars. The one downside is because of all those glitters this polish is quite thick and slightly hard to apply. This is only two coat though, which is amazing! Now on to the pictures! Sorry for the slight messiness. I was in a rush because I'm off to work soon :)

Two coats of KBShimmer- Proud Peacock
One coat of Gelous
One coat of Poshe

Over the next few posts you might notice my photo layout change a bit. I'm still trying to decide the best way to take pictures of my nails, and which I like best. Sorry for the inconsistency!
