Amy's Nail Boutique- Ecopolo

Hello, Hello!

So before I even get into the hell of a gorgeous polish I have to show you today, I need to let you know that it was a special polish created by Amy's Nail Boutique for the ladies of a Facebook group I'm in. As far as I know, it won't be available to purchase from Amy. Who doesn't like to see some gorgeous polish anyways?! Do check out Amy's Etsy! She recently added a bunch of new colors!

I'm going to be showing you Amy's Nail Boutique- Ecopolo! Now half the reason this polish is so rocking, is because it has circular glitter in it! I don't think I have any other polishes that do as of yet. Ecopolo is a mix of magenta, blue and purple glitter in a micro shimmer base. There's circles, squares and shreds. I think there are some smaller holographic hexes to. It just has so much going on, but in a good way! I used OPI- No Room For The Blues as a base, and then did two coats of Ecopolo. It's so stunning on, and I've been getting compliments left and right. Application was great, and the glitter applied evenly without any coaxing.

So pretty right?!

Ok, so I have a few other tidbits to mention! From now until the 26th, all my posts I put up will be scheduled. I'm leaving for vacation on the 14th, but I didn't want to leave you all hanging for that long! I will try to respond to any comments on those posts as frequently as I can. I'll be cruising to the Caribbean, so I'm hoping to pick up some neat polish for my One Year Blogoversary Giveaway which will be in April!

Now for my second tidbit. I have been LOVING Orly Bonder! Definitely my new favorite base coat. I've said in previous posts how hard it is to keep nail polish on while I'm at work, but it's been doing the trick. I do really want to try OPI Nail Envy in the feature though.

That is all!

Reader's Choice Wednesday Featuring Amy's Nail Boutique

Yay! This will be the first post for Reader's Choice Wednesday! Sorry for the lack of posts this past week. I had a bunch to do. I also managed to break a nail at work. I should know by now not to go to work without polish on! Thankfully it didn't break so badly that they had to become nubbins. I aslo wanted to take a moment and congratulate Erin and Corrinne for winning my Facebook and blog giveaways! I hope you ladies love your new polish!

There was actually a tie for Reader's Choice. It was between Amy's Nail Boutique- Preppy and Nostalgic Nail Lacquer- Jordan. I ended up choosing Preppy! It's actually two of my favorite colors, lime green and pink! It's also matte glitter, so what more could a girl ask for! I couldn't decide if I wanted to layer it or not. I went back and forth quite a bit. I ended up not layering it because I really wanted the glitter to stand out. I don't think I would recommend not layering it. It took me four coats to achieve to opacity you see below. As you might have guessed, it because quite thick. Not horribly thick but it's noticeable. The polish applied wonderfully. The glitter just isn't really dense enough to use by itself. In the end, the tiny lime green and pink matte glitters look stunning. From far away they give off an orange hue. I'm in love! You can purchase Amy's polish from her Etsy

My next mani for the Lazy Days of Summer Challenge will be up soon! Don't forget to vote for next weeks Reader's Choice Wednesday!

Amy's Nail Boutique- Cotton Candy

Today I have another matte glitter to fuel your obsession! It's a layering combo with Cotton Candy from Amy's Nail Boutique. That gal Amy sure makes some pretty polishes! I'm not sure if both glitters in this polish are matte or if the blue is regular and the pink is matte. I can't quite tell, but it's a simple yet pretty polish. I'm sure I've said it before, I'm not to keen on glitters I have to layer. I generally like glitters that will eventually become opaque. For matte glitter, I can make an exception! I was originally going to layer Cotton Candy over Zoya- Dove but went with Zoya- Kristen instead. I'm saving Dove for another matte glitter combo. Zoya- Kristen is a pale grayish-blue, and as with most cremes from Zoya, was opaque and smooth in two coats. Kristen went more blue on me which is what I had hoped for. I also did two coats of Cotton Candy and ended with a nice amount of glitter on the nail. I feel like this is a really girly mani without being pink, flashy and in your face. Picture time!

Super pretty, no? I'm really excited because my next post is going to be my 21st birthday mani!! I was going to do that mani tonight but we have a little girls birthday party tomorrow at work, and like I've said, my job is a mani killer! For those of you wondering, I work at Lush Cosmetics. I figured I should mention that sense I mention my job in posts all the time :) I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend so far! Has any one tried any of Amy's polishes yet?

I died when I saw this so I though I would share. It's necessary to sing it like the song :D
