Reader's Choice Wednesday Featuring Nail-Venturous

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a good week! I have to be honest, today's post is going to be a bit short. I don't want to bring the atmosphere of my blog down. I generally try to be pretty light hearted with my posts but today we had to put our family cat down today because we found out she had severely progressed feline leukemia. She will be greatly missed <3 If any of you are wondering after I post this, it's not the cat in my picture. That gorgeous kitty is Millie, mine and my boyfriends furbaby.

So as you might have remembered last week's Reader's Choice Wednesday got lost in the shuffle of life. I wanted to make sure I put it up this week so hopefully it's up before midnight! Nail-Venturous- Pinkerbell was clearly the winner! I can't remember if I mentioned it in the first RCW but all the polishes I put in the poll are untrieds. When I got my Nail-Venturous order that included Pinkerbell and Floam, Floam just stole my heart. Pinkerbell got put into by untried box and semi forgotten about. I'm glad I got to finally wear it! I feel like now that there are SO many indie brands, Nail-Venturous has become a staple. For the most part, anyone who is obsessed with indies, as I am, will most likely have a Nail-Venturous polish. At the moment I believe Nail-Venturous can only be purchaced from Ninja Polish.

Pinkerbell is tiny matte blue, yellow and pink glitter in a pink tinted base. It applies kinda thick if you don't let it dry between coats. I'm not sure how to describe it, but the polish with sort of pull the polish off the nail if it's not dry. That results in huge clumps of glitter balls at the tips. Not cute. I really do love the final product though. Squishy and pretty!

Nail-Venturous- Orange You Unique

I hope everyone had an awesome weekend! I have something to pass buy you guys before I get on to the post. I've been going back and forth with the idea of doing like a "Readers Choice" day where I will have a poll going for a week with multiple polishes listed. Then on said day, whatever polish wins will be what I do my post on. What do you guys think? I would like to be a bit more involved with everyone and that's what I came up with! Yay or Nay, let me know! Now on to the regulary scheduled programing...

I have another Nail-Venturous polish for you today! Besides the well know Floam, Amy from Nail-Venturous does some other pretty unique polishes. I couldn't stray away from my matte glitters for to long! So I have for you Nail-Venturous- Orange You Unique! I wasn't quite sure if I would like Orange You Unique, but I do! As weird as this sounds, it's almost a subtle polish?! Close up, you can see all the orange, blue and white glitters. From far away it's not so bright and just has a speckled effect, weird huh? It has a slightly orange tinted base and had pretty great coverage in just two coats. If I remember correctly, Floam took three and there was still a bit of nail showing through. I'm pretty sure you can only get Nail-Venturous polishes from Ninja Polish at the moment. I don't think Amy's Etsy is open or will be any time soon. Picture Time!

Nail-Venturous- Floam

GAHHHHH, I finally got my hands on Floam! As soon as I got my package I knew I had to put it on! Believe me, it lives up to the hype. I'm sure most of you have seen pictures of, or at least heard of Floam, which is from the mastermind Amy from I'm Feeling Nail-Venturous. Her polishes can be found on her Etsy (which from what I can tell will be closed for awhile) as well as on Ninja Polish. Restocks of Floam have officially become a site crashing event for Ninja Polish, which is what happened last time they stocked. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open if you plan on snatching this polish.

Floam amazingly withstood three days on my nails. Which is a lot to say because my job is a mani killer. Close up, you can see the gorgeous matte, neon blue, yellow and green glitter. Yet from far away they almost fade into a super pretty, bright turquoise. I did three coats of Floam, but if you used a base color you could probably do one. I really just wanted to wear it all but it's self and really let it shine. I am seriously IN LOVE with this polish and I'm sure you guys will be seeing it again soon.

Holy Nail Mail!

It's nail mail time!!! I have a swap and some haulage to show ya! I had set up a swap a little while ago in one of the nail polish groups I'm in on Facebook, and the wonderful Traci from The TraceFace Philes had me! Did I mention how awesome Traci is? You should really go check out her blog! Besides the swap, I did a lot of buying this month. Some of which isn't show in the pictures because it's either for swaps or presents! I managed to get quite a few polishes off my wish list. Even the super elusive Nail-Venturous- FLOAM! *coughcough giveaway coughcough*

First up is my swap with Traci! In the same order as the picture, she got me China Glaze in Raydiant, Polarized, and Full Spectrum. Venique in Top Thong (am I the only one that thinks this is a rather odd name?). Anise in Wrapped in Clouds and Exotic Choice. Depend Cracked Effect in 5006 and 5009. H&M in Pink and Metallic Blue. Next is my Zoya Earth Day order! Again, same order as the picture. Wednesday, Zuza, Shelby, Rory, Lara, and Reagan. Gorgeous much?

Finally, Nail-Venturous! Now these are from two different orders. Toxic and Pinkerbell I ordered from her Etsy shop and I got Floam from Ninja Polish. If any of you tried to order from Ninja Polish when they stocked a week ago or so, you know the site crashed and wasn't working pretty much all night. I was somehow able to put an order in that included quite a few goodies ;) Might I add that the OCD in me hates that the Etsy and Ninja Polish bottles are different...

I think it may be time to put together my next Melmer...
