Sephora by OPI- If You've Got It, Haunt It

Hello everyone! If your in the middle of the storm right now I hope your safe! It's poring here in Maryland! Quite windy to. My lights have flickered a few times but so far so good! I wanted to get this post up in case I loose power like last time it stormed. I have a really neat polish for you all today! It's Sephora by OPI- If You've Got It, Haunt It. I'm not really one for darker polishes but I picked this baby up for $5 bucks the other day. How could I pass it up?

If You've Got It, Haunt It is from, I believe, the 2010 SOPI Halloween collection. This sort of polish has really been popular this year. I've seen a ton of black based polishes with silver glitter, but none quite like this! It's a charcoal jelly with black, silver and possibly holographic glitter. I can't tell if the glitter is holographic or mainly blue, green and orange. Application was a bit patchy, but nothing unworkable. It didn't even really dry that gritty, but I did my usually Gelous and Poshe combo. It's really stunning on and I think it's unique. I'm really glad I picked it up. And I mean come on, the name is adorable.

I don't have too many SOPI polishes, but I did pick up the It's Real 18K Gold Top Coat. I'm sure you will see it soon!

Candy Corn Splatter!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted much this week. I had a ton of school work that snuck up on me! I have another platter mani for you all today! Who doesn't love candy corn? I'm working on a tutorial post for this as well. I haven't done a tutorial post yet so it's taking me awhile to figure out how to photograph the steps. It's coming soon though! I think I have two or three more Halloween manis to accomplish. I hope you all like them! On to the candy corn!

So, just like any splatter mani you need your basic tools: a straw (cut into multiple pieces if you have multiple colors), a paper towel, tape or vaseline to protect around your fingers, your polish of choice, and q-tips for clean up. For this mani, I knew I wanted my base to be white so the yellow and orange would really pop! I used two coats of OPI- My Boyfriend Scales Wales. I love this white, it's amazing. For the yellow I used Maybelline- Fierce N Tangy, and the orange is Sinful Colors- Courtney Orange. I love that Courtney Orange has shimmer because it adds something extra to the mani. To create the splatter, literally all you do is dip the straw into the polish and blow it on to the nail. If you don't get as much splatter as you want, do it again. It's really simple, just messy! Make sure to wait about 10 minutes before you put your topcoat on or it will smear your splatter.

I always love the way splatter manis look in the end. It might be a bit time consuming and messy, but totally worth it!

Different Dimension- Hanna

Hi everyone! I hope your weekend has be well! Today I have a Different Dimensions polish to show you. This one is part of her Pretty Little Liars collection! I have a bit of an obsession with PLL so I had to pick it up! The one I picked is Hanna! I actually snatched it up in a $5 sale she was having and I'm so glad I did. It's just my kind of polish. You can find Different Dimensions over on Etsy. Her polishes are regularly $8.50 but watch out for another $5 sale!

Hanna was really the only one that stood out to me from the PLL collection. Although, I might pick up Emily next time she has a sale. Hanna is a sheer purple base with magenta, white and light blue mircoglitters. I find that is gives a simular finish to the Nails Inc Sprinkles Collection polishes. The glitters aren't as big, but you get the idea. The base was sheer enough to not make the polish super thick even after three coats. It does have great coverage and is just packed with glitter! It looked so feminine and sweet on. I'm really excited to try some more Different Dimension polishes! I actually wanted to put Hanna right back on when I took it off! The polish looks a bit patchy in the pictures but you couldn't tell in real life.

Three coats of Different Dimension- Hanna
One coat of Gelous
One coat of Poshe

Do you have any recommendations for any Different Dimension polishes I should pick up? Who's excited for the Halloween episode, OMG!

Sinful Colors- Slate

Hi everyone! So I was ment to post my Top 5 Fall Polishes post for you all today. As soon as I posted it, I realized I have forgotten to swatch one of my all time favorite Fall polishes! So alas, you will see that post another day. Today, I'm going to show you all one of my absolute favorite Sinful Colors polishes, Slate! I know I tend to post a lot of Indie brands but I do own quite a bit of drugstore and salon brands to. This polish also happens to be a favorite for Fall.

So here we have Sinful Colors- Slate. Slate has to be one of my favorite gray polishes. It has a gorgeous subtle shimmer, and the base is a perfect medium gray. The shimmer can lean a bit blue, and even purple, in certain light. Gray is definitely my neutral color of choice. I just really like the color gray in general. Slate has great pigmentation, but if your not careful with application, brush stokes can be a bit of a problem. Such a great polish though, especially for $1.99! Gray can be such an understated color, but it looks quite beautiful on.

One coat of Poshe

I think I'm going to start expanding my Sinful Colors collection. Are there any that you recommend?  I'm always impressed with the formula and wear of these polishes. I definitely need to get a few more!

Sonoma Nail Art- Sincerest Pumpkin Patch

Hi everyone! I have another Halloween polish for you all today! This time it's a brand I've had yet to try, Sonoma Nail Art. There have been a few polishes from Sonoma Nail Art that have caught my eye but I never purchased them. The second I saw Sincerest Pumpkin Patch I knew it had to be mine. It's a Halloween polish, it's green AND it's a glitter! What more could I ask for?! You can find Sonoma Nail Art polishes over on Etsy. They are a bit steep at $10 but so far I think it's worth it.

Sincerest Pumpkin Patch is pretty much the perfect halloween polish. It doesn't have a spooky color scheme but it's Fall inspired. I most definitely think of a pumpkin patch when I look at this polish. Sincerest Pumpkin Patch has the slightest green tinted base. There's a multitude of green glitter in a few shapes and colors with orange hexes in two sizes. I have it layered over two coats of Zoya- Shawn. Application was great. The glitter applied evenly and it wasn't at all thick. I really didn't even have to maneuver the larger orange hexes. This polish is just so cute! Not to mention, the labels are stinking adorable!

Are you guys on the Halloween polish bandwagon as much as I am? I seriously have to stop myself from buying almost every one I see, it's ridiculous! I have a few posts planned this week, including my top 5 Fall polishes. I think I may update my blog sale as well so keep an eye out for that!

Lyn B Designs Swatch and Review!

Hi everyone! I hope you all have been well! I want to congratulate Jen Tesauro again for winning my 300 Follower Giveaway! I hope you love for polishes, Jen! Today I have two polishes from Lyn B Designs to show you. Jenna, the creator behind Lyn B Designs, has a super neat Etsy shop so be sure to check it out. These polishes are $8.50 and are full size.

First up we have This Is Halloween from the "Nightmare Begins" collection! You know I can't pass up a Halloween polish! This Is Halloween really caught my eye because I think it's the prefect color for this time of year. The base is a shimmery maroon with a slight bronze duo chrome. There's also purple and orange glitters. I was afraid that the glitters weren't going to be that noticeable on the nail but they are! They are just the right size to give the polish depth. The purple glitter also apear to be holographic so it adds a little flash to the polish. This Is Halloween is a tiny bit thick but covers evenly in two coats. A top coat is definitely needed because it dies to a semi matte finish. It helps the glitters stand out more as well. I love the overall look of this polish. Very Fall and super vampy!

One coat of Gelous
One coat of Poshe

Then we have Baker Street Boys from the "Baker Street" collection. I love green and I LOVE glitter so this one was an obvious choice! I did two coats of Baker Street Boys over two coats OPI- Don't Talk Bach To Me. The base in BSB is  just slightly tinted green with green shimmer. There's a few types of glitter including black squares, silver holographic bars, as well as green and silver hexes. I wouldn't says this polish could be opaque but it does tint whatever polish you put it over. It's a little thick but the glitter applies evenly. I think it's definitely a cool polish.

What do you all think? There's one thing I want to add. These polish bottles have a very unique shape. The bottom is tiered and the top is quite tall. Compared to an OPI bottle, I want to say it's almost half an inch taller. It fits into my Melmer perfectly though! Have you purchased any polishes from Lyn B Designs before?

*Some products in this post were provided for me to review and give my honest opinion.*

Butter London- Two Fingered Salute

Guys, I think I have seriously found one of my favorite polishes of all time! I had to track this sucker down so you better bet I love it! The polish I'm referring to is Butter London- Two Fingered Salute. It was one of three Butter London polishes released as Nordstorm exclusives. I saw it and knew I had to have it. Then I waited and waited until I looked one day and it was sold out. No lie I almost cried. And then a Nordstorm Beauty Stylist came to my rescue and ordered me one from their Seattle store. I put it on as soon as I got it and it's still on my nails....like 4 days later. You might have seen a Facebook post about me having found my favorite polish of the year. Well here ya go, it's Butter London- Two Fingered Salute!

Butter London, you sure make me giggle with these names! Names aside, this is a stunning polish. Two Fingered Salute is the perfect shade of light green. I really don't want to call it sage because I find that on me it's way brighter then sage. Maybe a sage with a bit more blue. Who cares, it's so pretty! The amazing part of this polish is the chunky copper shimmer. It just makes the polish glow and adds so much dimension. Ahhhh, I really just love this polish. I have a such a soft spot for greens. It's so funny because green has always been a favorite color of mine but I hated it on my nails. In the past year, it has grown on me. Green is definitely a favorite polish color of mine now! Application was great. Two coats and it was good to go!

It you're on the hunt for this polish but you can't find it in stores, I highly recommend chatting with a Beauty Stylist on Nordstroms website. I have a feeling the ladies in a nail group I'm in might have cleaned out the Seattle store but I'm sure other stores have this still! Best of luck if your on the lookout!

Takko Lacquer- Kiss The Sky

I have one amazingly gorgeous polish to show you guys today! I've lusted over this baby since the first time I laid eyes on it. Seriously, it's that gorgeous. What is this polish you might ask? It's freaking Takko Lacquer- Kiss The Sky. If you haven't seen swatches of this polish yet, don't even look at them, just go buy it if it's available. It took me two restocks to get my hands on Kiss The Sky and it did not at all disappoint! You can find Kiss The Sky in the Takko Lacquer Etsy shop. The price is a bit steep at $15 but it's soooooooo worth it!

How do I even begin to describe this polish! I'll just take it straight from the creator of Takko Lacquer, Sheryl. She describes Kiss The Sky as "a blu-rple jelly lacquer with orange and green duo chrome shimmer." To me the shimmer is much more then just orange and green. Honestly, it's a bright magenta in most lighting. Then in the shade it's green. Move your had one way and it's a bronzy orange. IT'S SO AMAZING! My camera only seems to capture the magenta but I did manage to get the other colors on my phone. I seriously took about twenty pictures of my nails at random moments throughout the day. I will add the compiled phone picture at the end but be warned, it's crappy quality. I wore Kiss The Sky for three days. Three freaking days! I did not want to take it off. It even held up for a day at my job, which is a notorious mani killer. Application was great. I used two coats. I know at some angles is looks a bit sheer but it wasn't at all. This polish is crazy good.

And now for the phone picture...

Beautiful! I am so glad I splurged a bit on this polish! Really, if you can pick this up, do it.

Don't forget about my 300 Follower Giveaway! If you haven't entered yet, you have until October 6th!
