Catherine Arley- 677

Hi everyone! I hope your week is going well! Today I have a polish from the brand Catherine Arley to show you! I did a Catherine Arley group order with a few ladies from a Facebook group I'm in. We ordered them back in the beginning of July and they came in the beginning of August.  The website we ordered them from is, I believe, a Belgian company. As far as I know that is the only place you can order them. You can find the website -->here<--.  Shipping was actually pretty cheap. Wanna know the most awesome part, they are about $2.30 a bottle! Not only are they cheap, they have a huge line of holographic polishes! You will see all the polishes I picked up in a future haul post!

The first polish I wanted to show you guys was number 677. It's a gorgeous raspberry holo! Now the holo in 677 isn't quite as strong as it is in other colors but it's still noticeable. It's more of a scattered holo. I will say that all of the Catherine Arley polishes seems to be nicely pigmented for holos. I only did two thin coats and it's perfect. I think it's crazy that these are pretty much dirt cheap and are so amazing! $2.30 is like a Sinful Colors polish plus tax! I highly recommend ordering these! Try getting a few friends together and doing a group order. It's beyond worth it! I think, in total, I personally paid around $30 for 8 polishes including shipping, CRAZY!

Gorgeous, right? Are you excited to see more Catherine Arley polishes? Do you think you might order some of your own?!?

Lazy Days of Summer- Dotting Tool Fun

I've been slacking on these LDoS posts, sorry guys! Today I have the 7th challenge, Dotting Tool Fun! I really wasn't inspired by this one. I had an idea then it didn't work out. So I decided to attempt a "ruffle" mani. Not loving how it turned out, but I guess it's ok for my first try. Chalkboard Nails has an awesome tutorial for the ruffle manicure if you want to try it for yourself! It's super easy, all you need is polish and a dotting tool. I just didn't have enough patience :P

For this mani I used three Essie colors: Mojito Madness, Play Date and Bikini So Teeny. I'm sure your aware of my love for accent nails! I took it a little further and did a semi funky french as well. One tip I do have is to let your doting polish dry just a bit or else it will bleed. You won't end up with "dots" as much as you will "blobs" like mine. I do really like the colors I chose though. I'm sure I will attempt another ruffle mani soon. Hopefully that will turn out more, what should I say...ruffley?

Have you tried out the ruffle mani yet? Don't forget to take a look at the other LDoS posts from the wonderful ladies below! Up next is the In A Garden challenge!

Nails Inc- Pudding Lane

How has your weekend been so far? I have another Nail Inc Sprinkles polish to show you! This time it's Pudding Lane. You can find my post on Topping Lane -->here<--. Topping Lane is definitely my favorite of the collection. I have yet to try on Sweets Way or Sugar House Lane but I would say Pudding Lane is probably my second favorite. If you haven't gotten these polishes yet, please run and get them! They are available online at Sephora for $9.50 but I'm not sure if they have shown up in stores yet.

I think I would consider Pudding Lane to be bright teal. Not so green but it's definitely not just blue. From what I can tell it has navy and greenish gold glitters. Probably more gold then green but the base of the polish makes them appear slightly green. It has the same exact consistency as Topping Lane. Applies a bit patchy on the first coat but evens out on the second. I used three for this mani.  I really do love the whole Sprinkles collection. Every once in a while I think about polishes that would compile my "best of 2012 polishes" and I think the Sprinkles collection would make it. I mean with all the awesome indie sellers out there, I've seen some pretty awesome glitters. I think Nails Inc really did something special with these. On to the pictures!

Have you guys picked up any of the Sprinkles yet?

I have a huge haul post coming up! I'm also planning some type of post showing you my shamefully large "untrieds" box and my first ever polish collection post!

Utopia Polish- Alternate Universe

I have a indie brand for you all today called Utopia Polish! I've been eyeing a few polishes from this brand for quite some time but never ordered for whatever reaosn. When I saw swatches of the new What About Science collection on their Facebook, I knew I had to order. So today I'm showing you one of the three that I ordered, Alternate Universe! I have two serious nail polish loves, matte glitter and glitter bombs in a colored base. If Alternate Universe isn't I glitter bomb in a colored base, I don't know what is! Utopia Polish can be found on Etsy. Full size polishes range from $9-$10 and minis are $4.50.

Alternate Universe is a lilac based polish with blue, white, silver holo, purple and pink hex glitter in a few different sizes. I also notice a finer pink shimmer throughout. For the amount of glitter it has, it's pretty easy to apply. I only moved the glitter around probably two or three times and that was mainly the larger hexes. The base is nicely pigmented and you could probably get away with two coats, though I did three. I didn't find any curling glitter issues, even with the largest hexes. It just looks so pretty and feminine. I can't believe I waited so long to order from Utopia Polish! There are a few more I want that I keep missing when they go up on Etsy but you best believe I'm gonna stalk them next time they stock!

This polish seriously just makes me happy to look at it. Have you tried any Utopia Polishes yet? Any you would recommend?

Zoya- Kate and F4 Polish- Coal Sea

Oh sweet Jesus! I think this might be my favorite mani I've done in awhile! I was looking through my box of untrieds, which is ridiculously overflowing btw, and I scavenged these two babies out for a mani. Man are they prefect for each other! It's probably going to take me an hour to write this post because I keep stoping to look at my nails. I'm just enamored with the F4 Polish in Coral Sea! The funny thing is that I'm not sure I would have ordered it on my own. Coral Sea was a goodie that the wonderful ladies of F4 sent me with an order. If I haven't said it a million times already, those ladies are seriously amazing and have a knack for creating some seriously gorgeous polish! Be sure to stop by their Etsy shop if you haven't already. They are on vacation till August 22nd but the shop will reopen when they return! Zoya- Kate is part of the Birchbox Blogger Trio which I'm pretty sure you can only get from Birchbox.

Zoya- Kate is a super squishy, bright pinky-orange jelly. It applies nicely and is opaque at three coats. I'm not to much of an orange girl but I do love Kate on. Zoya really knows how to do jellies! Coral Sea is a pretty simple polish but it packs a big, glittery punch! It's made up of holographic purple glitter and slightly larger pinkish-orange matte glitter. You seriously need to see this polish in person because pictures don't do it justice! It sparkles like no buddies business. The ladies of F4 sure know how to make a awesome glitter polish. I have yet to use a polish from them that I don't like, no joke.

Two coats of F4 Polish- Coral Sea

Now wipe the drool off your face and go buy you some F4 Polish! They have swatches of a few polishes they are releasing soon so be sure to like them on Facebook!

Reader's Choice Wednesday Featuring Tokidoki

Hi everyone! I'm sad to say that this is going to be the last Reader's Choice Wednesday for a little while. My Fall classes are starting soon. With my class schedule, along with work, I'm not sure if Wednesday's will be a good posting day or not. Hopefully RCW will be back, but for now it will be on hold.

I'm really excited for today's post because I was super excited to wear this polish! It's Tokidoki- Latte! I snagged this baby when it was on sale at Sephora for $6 and man was it worth it! It looks crazy gorgeous in the bottle and really stands out on the nail. Latte is made up of baby bluish-green glitters with magenta and holo bar glitter. SO FREAKING PRETTY! I'm not usually one for bar glitter but I really love it in Latte. It was surprisingly pretty opaque in three coats and wasn't to much of a top coat eater. I'm not sure if Sephora was phasing out of the Tokidoki line or not. But for real, if you can still get this polish, buy it. You will thank me later! Prepare to be blinded by the blingyness!

Three coats of Tokidoki- Latte
One coat of Gelous
One coat of Poshe

Btw, the Tokidoki character Latte is like a moo cow and a milk carton put together. Not entirely sure what that has to do with this polish... It's awesome, so who cares! Are you guys into bar glitter? I think I may be coming around...

Also, I updated my blog sale if anyone is interested!

Lazy Days of Summer- Pool Party

I hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend! I have the sixth LDoS challenge for you today! It's the Pool Party Challenge! I honestly had no idea what I wanted to do. I kinda just went for it. I knew I wanted to do a beach ball, that's about it. So this is what I ended up with! All of the colors I used will be listed above the picture.

For the beach ball nail I used striping tape and marked off an X with a line through the middle. I then painted each triangle so that the colors were diagonal from each other. I did a beach towel inspired nail as well. The remaining nails are Maybelline- Porcelain Party with China Glaze- Ride The Waves on top. Last time I used Ride The Waves it appeared opaque but in pictures you could see VNL so I put it over white. I love how squishy it looks! I think it's a pretty cute mani!

China Glaze- Ride The Waves
OPI- Color So Hot It Berns

Be sure to check out all the other pool party nails from the wonderful laides below! Up next is a dotting tool mani!

Reader's Choice Wednesday Featuring Candeo Colors

Hello everyone! I have some bad news for you... I think my camera might be dying. It's been making a super weird noise when it focuses and I can't seem to make it stop. No matter how far I zoom out or in, it doesn't focus all the way. Sorry ahead of time if my pictures are a bit wonky! Anywho, I have a RCW post for you today! Candeo Colors- Mallard was the winner! The polishes can be purchased from the Candeo Colors website. Just check the Facebook for restock info.

Mallard has some of my favorite colored glitter all in one polish! I think it predominantly has silver, green and purple hexes as well as smaller glitters. Who cares, it's just so glittery! It is a clear based polish so I chose Zoya- Caitlin as a base. I do feel that Mallard is slightly prettier in the bottle. Something just doesn't translate on the nail. It's very pretty but the colored glitter doesn't really stand out as much as I would like. Maybe I'm still to fixated on matte glitters LOL. It applies fairly smooth but does seem a smidge thick.

Three coats of Candeo Colors- Mallard

What do you think? Do you own any Candeo Colors? If so, which ones?

Don't forget to vote for next week's Reader's Choice Wednesday!
