Butter London- Scuppered

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to show you one of the Butter London's I ordered a little while ago. I was actually pretty excited for Butter London- Scuppered, but I'm honestly not sure how I feel about it. Scuppered is part of the Butter London 2012 Holiday Collection. I don't usually do posts on polishes I don't end up liking, but I know that this will probably be a popular polish for this season.

Scuppered is a coppery, bronze based shimmer. There's also some pink shimmer and tiny green glitters. I think my bigest problem with this polish is that it pretty much just looks bronze unless you're in good lighting. Or if you're staring directly at your nails. I was expecting the green glitter to stand out a bit more. I usually stray away from bronze, brown, or anything in that family. I expected it to clash with my skin tone more then it does. I just don't know! Sometimes I like Scuppered, and then a minute later I want to take it off! Application was pretty good. When I hurried to apply the second coat, it pulled the first coat. Just let it dry a bit. Who knows, maybe it will grow on me.

One coat of Gelous
One coat of Poshe

What do you think about Scuppered? I have Jack the Lad to show you from this collection as well. Hopefully I like that one a bit more!

Nicole by OPI- All Is Glam, All Is Bright

Hello everyone! I have a long awaited polish to show you today. Well, it's not really "long awaited" but I couldn't find it anywhere! I have really only been searching for it for about a week. Then, low and behold, I found it on sale at Target for like $4.50! The polish in question is Nicole by OPI- All Is Glam, All Is Bright. It was it over on Lawless Lacquer, probably about a week ago. I just knew I had to have it. All Is Glam, All Is Bright is part of the Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kollection Holiday 2012. They might be on sale at a Traget by you, so go pick this baby up!

All Is Glam, All Is Bright is just amazing. It's packed with red and silver micro glitter. It only needed two coats! I've come to the conclusion that I do not like the Nicole by OPI brushes. I'm not sure if they're different from regular OPI brushes, but I absolutely hate them. Mostly because it's as big, or just a bit smaller, then the width of my nail. It might have been because the polish was a little thicker, but I had a hard time using the brush. Brush aside, this is a gorgeous polish. It's the perfect, simple holiday mani. It's a bit top coat hungry though. Make sure you do two coats of top coat to finish it off because it does dry gritty.

What do you think? I love this polish, and I'm sure I will wear it a few more times this Holiday season!

Nail Mail!!!

Yay! It's nail mail time! This haul is find of all over the place. It includes my Butter London order from their Friends & Family sale, two indie brands I haven't tried before and some nail art glitter! I'm sure there's more polishes I could have added to this post, but these were the ones I was most excited for. Are you ready to see what I got?!

First up is my Butter London order! Now I had quite a few on my wish list, and I knew there was a reason I hadn't ordered them. I had a feeling a sale was coming. I patiently, more like impatiently, waited, and finally they had their 30% off Friends & Family sale! Then I saw that it was free shipping when you spent over $75. It all went out the window from there. I can never pass up free shipping. Basically I got six polishes, originally $84 total, for $58! That's practically $9 a bottle! Compared to $14, that's a major steal. So let's see what I picked up!

Scuppered and Jack The Lad, both from the 2012 Holiday Collection. Posh Bird and Fishwife, I believe were released for fashion week, and then The Black Knight and Dosh. All are in order of the picture, and I included swatch photos. Look at that holo on Fishwife, ermahgerd!

Next up is my order from a new Esty seller, My Ten Friends! Now, I have to be honest. Most of the time when I find a new seller on Etsy, I wait a bit just to see if more swatch photos pop up. In this case, I just couldn't control myself! I ordered these as soon as I laid eyes on them. I'm so excited I did because I'm totally in love. The pictures do NOT do these polishes justice. They are so sparkly and gorgeous in real life. The price is pretty decent at $8.88 a bottle. I some how managed to get two blues and two greens, but who cares because they are stunning! The greens aren't as simular as they look in the pictures.

Once again these are in order: 42, Spacebound, Goldilocks Planet and Clusterfrak. I am SO excited to wear these! You can actually get 10% off your order right now with the code, Anniversary10!

And finally I have a few random bits. I purchased my first Nail'd It polish off of Llarowe. I've eyed quite a few, but never got around to buying them. I picked up Candy Wrapper because it was on sale for $9, and I've wanted it for awhile. Then I have some nail art glitter from JessiGeeWhiz over on Esty. These are solvent resistent loose glitter. You can use them loose or mix them into base polish. I'm super excited to do a review post on these because they are just amazing.

Nail'd It- Candy Wrapper, JessiGeeWhiz glitters in Winter Solstice, Gift Wrap and Christmas PJ's. Jessi is having a 50% of sale from Black Friday to Cyber Monday, so be sure to pick up some of these gorgeous glitters! I know I will be. The coupon code is GEEWHIZ50OFF.

If you could decide what to see posts on first, what would you choose: Butter London, My Ten Friends, or the JessiGeeWhiz glitters?

I Love Nail Polish Swatch and Review!

Hi everyone! I have a few polishes to show you today from the indie brand, I Love Nail Polish! Barbra, the creator of I Love Nail Polish, actually has a Facebook page which I'm sure a lot of you have seen. You can find her polishes over on Etsy as well her website. They are $10 each. If you're a glitter lover, like myself, be sure to check them out! All of the swatches below are toped with one coat of Poshe. On to the polish!

So, let's start with one of my favorites from the bunch, Animal Cookie! I started with two coats of Orly- Au Champagne. Au Champagne is a gorgeous, shimmery white and I knew it would be the perfect match for Animal Cookie. There's a bunch of different glitters in Animal Cookie. From pink squares and white bars, to white, pink and red hexes. It also has a pink holographic glitter that just pops on the nail. Super girly and sparkly! Application was great. I didn't have to dig around for glitter at all. I used two coats and it gave me perfect coverage. All of these polishes have a pretty thick base. Make sure to wait till your first coat is almost dry before doing a second. If you don't, it does cause a bit of dragging.

Next up is another favorite, Pumpkin Head. I used two coats of Essie- Armed and Ready as a base. It has a beautiful coppery orange shimmer that I though would really compliment Pumpkin Head. I'm not sure how much longer Pumpkin Head will be available because I'm sure it was in the Halloween collection. It's in the shop right now so if you like it, go get it while it's up! Pumpkin Head is a mix of orange, green and black glitter. The glitter is a bit sparse but still gives nice coverage in two coats. I just love how these two polishes look together!

Then we have Little Mermaid! I seemed to to drawn to Essie today because I used Essie- School of Hard Rocks as a base for Little Mermaid. Little Mermaid has baby blue and pink hexes with tiny silver bars. My camera refused to think there was blue glitter in this polish. Most of the blue glitter either looks black or silver. Not my favorite of the bunch, but it's still pretty. This is two coats.

Last but not least we have Berry Sweet! Oh look, I used anther Essie. I used two coats of Essie- Play Date as the base color. Berry Sweet has a few different colors and shapes of purple and pink glitter. There's even some purple shreds! This polish was simular to Pumpkin Head in application. I wish there was just a bit more glitter on the nail, but I'm loving this combo as well. Obviously greens and purples are my thing...

I thought these labels were just so stinking adorable, hence the pictures of them! They also have hand written name tags on them. What a nice personal touch! How are you liking the I Love Nail Polish polishes? Are there any you're considering buying?

A NerdLacquer Revival?!?!?

Whoa guys, whoa. I'm sure many of you have seen the update post on the NerdLacquer Google+ page. If you haven't, be sure to go take a look. To keep it short and sweet, Amanda disappeared in March right after having a sale on her Etsy page. I was lucky enough to score a few in a previos sale, but some were't so lucky. People were left with unfulfilled orders, and caos ensued. A lot of people were seriously pissed off, and for good reason. I just hope, now that she's explained her disappearance, people will give her the time she needs to further explain the future of NerdLacquer. I'm sure she has some way to fix everything or I doubt she would have returned. My heart goes out to Amanda and everything she went through.

Now for something a bit more cheerful! In honor of Amanda's return, I have NerdLacquer- No Medal for Chewie to show you all! I've showed you guys a few NerdLacquers in the past, but No Medal for Chewie has to be my favorite! Of course I'm biased to greens. NMfC is sort of an olive green base with gold shimmer and multi sized glitter in green and gold. The glitter ranges from teeny gold glitters to larger hexes. The thing that amazes me about NerdLacquers is that they are always super pigmented but the glitter shows through. I think that balance is hard to achieve. There are obviously some nails with more glitter then others, but they all have good coverage. I just love it!

How do you feel about the return of NerdLacquer? I. AM. SO. EXCITED.

Zoya- Aurora

Whoa! Long time, no post! I'm sorry everyone! With my powered being out and then all the school work I had to do, I lost track of time. To be honest, I think this is my first time painting my nails this week! Man, do I have a stunning polish for you today. When I first saw the press release for the Zoya Ornate collection, I wasn't quite sure how I felt about them. I was afraid the holographic polishes would be dupes for ones I already had. I was so, so wrong. I have Aurora to show you today, and it's a definite stand out in this collection!

Zoya calls Aurora "a sugarplum purple" which I think is pretty spot on for the color. I find it to be a bit more pink on the nail then in the bottle. The neatest thing with the Zoya holographics is that they have micro holo glitter not holo shimmer. I think that is what really makes them stand out. It really sparkles on the nail and is totally noticeable in indoor lighting. I was expecting Aurora to be three coats but it only needed two. It is seriously a beautiful polish. Aurora has definitely been added to my top Zoya picks!

Two coats of Zoya- Aurora
One coat of Zoya Armor
One coat of Poshe

Have you picked up any of the Zoya Ornate polishes? I picked up Blaze as well and I'm so excited to wear it!
